Boys Basketball

Corban got to play basketball this year because we found out last min that they had a kindergarten league. He was very proud to get a trophie at the end of the season.
This kid had quite the shot for being so young, and when he did shoot he usually made it every time. But he usually would be too nice and pass the ball:)
He is a good little dribbler if I say so myself.
We saw a lot of this throughout the games, with his hands in the air, waiting for someone to pass him the ball. ha ha, he is not really the competitive type yet.
His little team and his great, very patient coach.

Dax did AWESOME for his first year playing! He was quite the go getter. And he learned a LOT.
It took him a while to figure out all the rules. But once he did he went after it.
I think this just may be his main sport. Usually by the end of the sport seasons I am having to coax Dax to go to games and practices but not basketball. He loved every min.
And I loved every min as well. But I also may get into it a little bit too. I have quite the competitive side in me. So I am the parent that yells a lot, which I dont know why because I really HATE those parents. Haha. Steve is the nice, quiet parent that just sits and watches quietly. Poor Dax. I worry what its going to be like when he gets older. :) Im proud of my boys.

Our Valentines

The kids woke up to some simple Valentines from mom and dad. They all got a puppy stuffed animal and a box full of goodies.
The kids gave some Enormous Hugs and kisses made out of Rice Krispie treats to Daddy and thought they were so cool they decided to give them to the grandparents and Aunt Heather too.
Steve and I never do a whole lot for Valentines because our Anniversary is right around the corner. So I made him a simple Candy bar bouquet in a cup... cheesy I know, but hey... its Valentines:)

I came home after work to this beauty, it put my candy bar bouquet to shame! This beauty was handmade from my hubby and my beautiful children with letters from all of them. The yellow one is longer and from my sweet Steve. But the little red ones around the edges are from my kids. I have to tell you what they say because they made my cry...
Daxton's- "Dear mom, I love you to the sun and back. I am so so so so so so so glad that you are in are family and this is why I love you with all my heart because you are the best best best best best best mom in the whole world and also I love you because you love me."

Corban- Why Corban loves mom..." Cause her is Awesome. With all of my heart. Cause she's the best mom in the whole world. Ill be nice to mommy always. I love mom all all all day long and all the way up to Jesus."

Brielle- Why Brielle Loves mom..." Cause she plays with me. Because she gives me pop. I do love mommy. Because she's nice.

This is now hanging in my room. I will cherish is FOREVER! I started to cry as reading them and Daxton said.. Mine made her cry:) ha ha. It was funny. He was proud I think.

Then tonight we had heart shaped Pizza. And only because its Valentines and I LOVE my kids I let them eat downstairs and we watched a movie and we had a romantic family date:)

Another girl day..

Whats Valentines without sugar cookies?! The boys left to school and we started baking sugar cookies right away. (Thats why we are still in our Pj's). .
As we got started, I realized that I have never done this with Brielle before I dont think and it was SO much fun! I used to make sugar cookies ALL the time and then with three kids, well everything is harder. HA! We had lots of fun making some V-day cookies.
Brielle is definitely my kind of girl. We both probably ate more dough than cookie. That is the best part by far.
And it really is pretty much impossible to stay clean while making cookies too, this is where she takes after her daddy. ha ha.
We both look well, just like we rolled out of bed because we did:) But I wanted this for memories anyway!:)

We made cookies in lots of Valentines shapes that included hearts, cupid, lips, flowers and.... a bad guy! Brielle saw "the gingerbread man" and said we need a bad guy! ha ha, so a bad guy we did! I love her personality, you can tell she has brothers! My hubby took me on an early V-day date to see the movie "The Vow" it was super cute and I cried... and its a true story. Tonight we will get the kids their little Valentines ready for school and their simple things we got them. Such a silly holiday, but a great opportunity to show your loved ones and family and friends how much you care:) Happy Valentines Day everyone on a Tuesday!

A little Reminder..

Life is crazy. Work gets overwhelming. Kids school, and homework, house work. Ya know, Life is crazy. I LOVE this man in my life President Monson. I am very blessed to have the church in my life and to be reminded whats most important in my life. The Gospel for one and my little ones. So for all of you out there that life is crazy for you too, maybe this little reminder can help you out too. I loved this from him:)
“Give your child a compliment and a hug; say, ‘I love you’ more; always express your thanks. Never let a problem to be solved become more important than a person to be loved. Friends move away, children grow up, loved ones pass on. It’s so easy to take others for granted, until that day when they’re gone from our lives and we are left with feelings of ‘what if’ and ‘if only.’ … “Let us relish life as we live it, find joy in the journey and share our love with friends and family. One day, each of us will run out of tomorrows. Let us not put off what is most important.”

Broken nose?

Do these glasses look normal to you? We are lucky that they are not broken completely!
This little man did a flip over a truck at kids club and landed flat on his face. And his nose bled FOREVER! He was so brave and hardly even cried! This is not the case usually. But I think he was putting on his Brave face because his friends were there and was really embarrassed.
He still had a smile to put on. He told his teacher at school that he got in a fight with a ninja turtle. ha ha. I dont blame him. It sounds cooler right?! I hate that we cant do much for him right now. And that you just have to wait it out for a broken nose. Poor kid. And it looks worse now which is weird because the swelling is going down but the road rash and the cuts are trying to heal and they look just horrible. He plays on a basketball team every Sat. too and he got hit in the nose. Oh man, that was rough...and so painful to watch. Its going to be a tender here for a little bit. Wish us luck!

Brielle is Three

That right... My BABY is three!:( It is a very sad day, not for her of course. I have no idea where the time has gone! It hurts my heart a tad bit to think she is this old. She has been SOO much fun. I absolutely LOVE having a girl. Everyone warned us that a girl would be a lot of drama and guess what?! They were right! BUT, I would not change one day or one thing about her. I love everything about Miss Brielle. She is full of Sass, spunk, attitude, personality, and SO much Love. We sent her invites out to the family. . She has been waiting kinda impatiently because her birthday was on Jan. 9th but we didnt get to celebrate it till today the 14th because the poor little thing has been sick. So YEAH for today:0
I love this pic. of her telling me she is three. It takes a LOT of concentration to tell me she is three with her little fingers. First she asked for purple Ice cream, and purple pop and orange cupcakes. Then last min. she changed her mind to a "fuzzy" birthday party (aka zebra party). SO we had it set on the Zebra party and she was super excited.

Auntie Heather got her this pretty skirt. And I "attempted" to make some zebra cupcakes for her.

We wanted a picture with our little miss Sass...
She ONLY cooperated if she could get a picture with Zellie... doesn't she look like the happiest little girl on earth with her puppy. So funny.
And then will her bro's. She was killing me. I was laughing so hard. She usually hates pictures. She was so excited to blow her candles out all day, but when it came down to it with everyone staring at her, she got a little shy and needed a little help from her bro.
And finally the present time... Every kids favorite part.
We decided she is a girly girl through and through because she would throw the toys she got and hold the clothes up and totally check them out. It was super funny. We are used to them throwing the clothes and checkin out the toys.
She could not wait for her cousins to come. She LOVES her cousins. She named them all every night the whole week before till the day finally arrived.
Thanks for celebrating Brielle's Special day with her everyone and making her feel special. Love you all!

Shellac girl time..

I love my girl time with Brielle. I love my new Shellac and that I can do it at home, and so does Brielle. She loves to put her feet and hands in the light. She can be so girly. She loves to get her toes and fingers painted, she loves her necklaces and shoes. Yet she still loves to get dirty too with the boys. I guess you could call her a princess Tom boy. Ha ha. It is so much fun.
Double bonus..I got some loves during it too!
Here is her finished toe results as she was coloring.
And my lovely ladies fingers:) She was very proud. Ha ha.
I just love having our girl moments.
